# Restore factory default configuration on the Netgear ProSafe FVS318G

**Step 1**

Power on the Netgear ProSafe FVS318G by plugging it to the power adapter.

**Step 2**

Using a pin or paperclip, press and hold the **Factory Defaults** button for 10 seconds and the **Test LED** will begin to flash.

**Step 3**

Wait a few minutes while the Netgear ProSafe FVS318G restores to the factory default settings.
