# Connecting to the Netgear FVS318G

**Step 1**

Plug in the Netgear FVS318G to a power outlet.

**Step 2**

Connect an ethernet cable from port 1 to your computer.

**Step 3**

Open any browser and type the address http://192.168.1.1

**Step 4**

If the default user name and password was not changed use the following:

User Name: admin

Password: password

**Step 5**

Click on Login
