# Configuring the WAN Port on the Sonicwall TZ 215 with a static IP

**Step 1**  
Click on Network

**Step 2**  
Click on Interfaces

**Step 3**  
Find the interface x1 or the interface you would like to use as the WAN port

**Step 4**  
Click on the pen icon to configure the interface

**Step 5**  
Enter the IP information and DNS servers provided by your ISP.

**Step 6**  
Click OK to save your changes
