# Backup and restore the configuration on the Calix 844G

**Step 1**  
Log into the router.

**Step 2**  
Click on **Utilities**

**Step 3**  
Click on **Configuration Save**

**Step 4**  
Select the radio button next to **Backup** or **Restore** depending on which action you would like to perform.
